Medical Education Programs
The University of Nebraska Medical Center has been working for many years to develop significant partnerships in China in order to promote collaborations on research, exchanges of faculty and students, and enhance the education systems of both countries.
To encourage and improve these partnerships, UNMC established the Asia Pacific Rim Development Program (APRDP) in 2005.
As a result, these partnerships have allowed UNMC’s reputation as a world-class institution to develop and flourish.
CSC Scholarship Program
A major facilitator of UNMC’s partnerships with Chinese institutions has been the China Scholarship Council. The CSC is the Chinese Ministry of Education’s non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad and to foreign citizens wishing to study in China.
Family Physician and Primary Care Training
Chinese MD physicians perform clinical observations at UNMC supported by a clinical department or program at UNMC for up to twelve months.
The Medical Student Rotation Exchange Program
In pursuit of building relationships and enhancing collaboration between the Chinese and American medical academic communities, the University of Nebraska Medical Center has been participating in an exchange of medical and nursing students with Chinese medical schools.
Visiting Scholars and Researchers
Visiting scholars and researchers can team up with researches at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in order to collaborate on studies and investigation on a multitude of subjects.
